Excel training: frequently asked questions
Book Excel Introduction if you are new or self-taught and unsure about formulas. Book Excel Intermediate if you use Excel daily but IF, VLOOKUP and tables slow you down. Book Excel Advanced for PivotTables, macros, data validation and auditing. Power Query is for cleaning and combining data without formulas, VBA is for automating Excel, and Excel and Power BI Data Modelling is for reporting teams building data models. If a team is mixed, our Excel skills self-assessment questionnaire shows where each person sits.
Excel Introduction, Intermediate, Advanced and Power Query Introduction are one day each. Excel VBA Introduction and Excel and Power BI Data Modelling are two days. On-site, a day can be split or an outline combined across levels to fit your team.
Public places on Excel Introduction, Intermediate and Advanced are currently £325 per person, ex VAT, with the next dates shown on this page. Private on-site or online group training is quoted on headcount. As a rule of thumb: one to three people, book public places; four to five, it is worth getting both numbers; six or more, a private day usually costs less.
We come to you. On-site Excel training runs at your own premises anywhere in the UK, with trainer travel charged separately. We run no training centres of our own. If your team is spread out, the same course runs live online on a public date or as a private online session.
There is no hard limit. We recommend no more than 8 per session so everyone gets hands-on time and the trainer can see each screen. Larger teams are usually split into two sessions, often on consecutive days.
