How it works

  • A trainer comes to you, anywhere from Wellington Place and the South Bank to Headingley, Morley and Leeds Bradford Airport.
  • Courses run on your own data where that helps, so people leave with something they can use on Monday rather than a finished exercise file.
  • Groups of up to eight, because past that the trainer stops being able to see what everybody is doing.
  • One day on site, not a series of lunchtime webinars nobody finishes.

Why on site rather than a London course

A public course in London costs more than the ticket price. A delegate from a Leeds office loses the day either side of the training to travel, and the team comes back with four different sets of notes and no shared way of working. Training the whole team together in your own building means everyone leaves with the same conventions, working on the systems they will actually use.

Where we train

We cover the whole of West Yorkshire, including Leeds city centre, Wellington Place, Morley, Pudsey, Bradford, Wakefield and Harrogate. On-site delivery carries a travel cost, and it is quoted with the training up front rather than added afterwards. Virtual delivery is the one format with no travel to pay for.

Leeds demand splits along the city's own specialisms. Wellington Place, Park Row and the South Bank around the station run on financial and legal services, where the daily work is Excel modelling, Power BI reporting to a committee, and a PowerPoint deck for a client pitch. Leeds is also the effective centre of UK health data: NHS England and NHS Digital both have a major presence in the city, alongside the teaching hospitals, so SQL, SharePoint and Power BI carry a different level of scrutiny than they do in most cities. The universities add a steady stream of research and administrative reporting, and the retail and consumer brands headquartered in the city need decks and dashboards that move fast. Out towards Morley, Elland Road and the M62 corridor sits a manufacturing and distribution belt where SQL and Power Automate do the heavy lifting, and the catchment reaches out to Bradford, Wakefield and Harrogate. Sending a team to a London course costs a full day each once you add the walk to the station and the return leg.

Frequently asked questions about training in Leeds

On-site delivery carries a travel cost wherever it is, Leeds included. It goes in the quote up front alongside the training, so nothing is added later. If you want to avoid it entirely, virtual delivery is the format with no travel attached.

Yes. Most on-site days run in a meeting room with a screen or projector. Delegates work on their own laptops, which is usually better anyway, because the shortcuts and add-ins they leave with are the ones on the machine they use every day.

We can run the same course twice on consecutive days at two sites, or bring everyone to one location for the day. Two half-strength groups usually learn more than one oversized one.

Lead time depends on the course and the time of year rather than the location. Tell us the skill and the rough date and we will come back with what is actually available.
